Rock of Ages Review

So Rock of Ages is about a small town girl who moves to Hollywood  to become a rock star. While in Hollywood she finds work at a famous rock club along with love. Well this movie was interesting I guess is what my first thoughts are. The acting for the most part is good, Tom Cruise does great as a crazy uncontrollable rock star. Russell Brand and Alec Baldwin did great as the rock bar owners. I felt though that the main leads Julianne Hough and Diego Boneta are just not all that great, I meant hey did fine I guess but I just didn't like their acting. The story is decent along with script and all but it's not all that great. I really hated the love stories within this movie.  The main one they basically meet and then the next day they are together, I do believe in love at first sight but this one as just awkward. The second one is between Tom Cruises character and the reporter in the movie, they hook up and then there is a pause and then more hooking up and they are together. Again this relationship is awkward and just doesn't work in my opinion. The last one is the best but again it's kind of awkward I don't want to give to much away on this one because it's kind of a surprise but this is the most realistic but again it's just weird and awkward. They are all ridiculous and I just felt a little cheesy. I also think there is one character in the movie that has to big of a part. Mary J Bliges character is the one I'm talking about I don't think that she should be out necessarily but I felt she was to involved and didn't need to be she just annoyed me in the end, I just felt her character didn't have that much relevance.  I also hate that this movie was all over the place one second it was with one character then it went to another. I notice this a lot with the songs, I felt like they couldn't have a solo song for anyone, everyone had to be in on the song and it just went all over. One thing I would like to say that is positive though is this movie is that it's a musical and the music in it is awesome!!! I love how they sing these very real songs and I loved how they intertwined them and where they sang the songs I this movie. I'm not going to lie its worth to watch the movie just because of the music. I also want to mention the ratting, it's really not a negative or positive but it should not of been PG13. A R ratting would have been more appropriate there was so much sex scenes and talk of sex that this movie just could not be a PG13 ratting.

So what do the people think? A lot feel its clichéd which is true I should have mentioned that but I do agree with that. More felt the movie was sloppy and all over the place which I agree with 100%. Just all over!!! The humor is another thing mentioned which I agree with as well it's just pushed humor that really isn't funny it's just pathetic. There are positive reviews that are saying that it's a good time which I agree with the music makes it fun to watch and fun to sing along with, is the story all that great no but it's still enjoyable.

So as for a ratting I give Rock of Ages a 3/10 a terrible movie but a pretty good time if you lie, the 

music and the acting is all that bad.
