Men In Black

So Men In Black stars Will Smith and Tommy Lee Jones and is about a New York Police Officer who joins a secret organization called the Men In Black and this organization is responsible for keeping control of the extra terrestrial life that is on earth.

So lets get into the this review, I have to say that this movie is very good, the plot is intriguing and the movie is a fun time. Now the two lead Actors Smith and Jones are just fantastic in this role I really liked their chemistry I think they worked well together. Now this movie was made in 1997 and this movie did have some good special effects for that time, it did also win an Oscar for best makeup, which it deserved! Now I love a movie that just goes out to do what it sets out to do and this movie does that it wants to create an action science fiction that is just fun and it does that. This movie is also a comedy as well and I loved the comedic moments you will find yourself laughing at times in this movie, I felt that all the humor was perfect and so relatable and I loved it. I also really love the idea of this happening for real on earth, the idea that guys are trying to make sure aliens are kept under control, it just makes me want to try to pull off everyone face to see if its a mask of an Alien. I also love the villain in this movie he's somewhat weird, and creepy and he looks just creepy!

Now there are a few minor things that I have problems with, first off I feel like the movie is just to fast paced one minute something's happening the next we are on to the next thing. I felt that the movie just needed to slow down the movie is an hour and a half and I think it might have benefited from being just a little bit longer and slowing down a bit. Now I also thought the movie was just a little slow at the start up, it takes so much time to actually get into the main plot and it is just a little boring at first.

So all in all a fun movie that I would seriously suggest seeing!!! So as for my ratting I'm going to give this movie a 7/10.

Not Another Teen Movie

So Not Another Teen Movie is another one of those movies are doing something as simple as making fun of  movies, and I have to say I have a soft spot for these movies they are completely stupid and just should stop being made really but I do watch them anyway just because they are stupid I guess. So lets start with the positives of this movie there are some parts where I laughed,  the movie also has some cameos and I love looking for things I recognize from other movies. That's pretty much it for positives.






Lets face it these movies are dumb and if you hate them I can see why, these movies are not at all like the old movies making fun of movies... they are just dumb. The humor is just kind of stupid for the most part and your just going to want to poke your eyes out for the most part. There are some moments that I actually enjoyed the humor but very few parts. This movie also feels extremely long its only like an hour and a half but it feels like about six hours!!!! It just goes on and on and on. the acting is cheesy but I guess that is how they are supposed to be acting so really its not that bad. Just everything that could make a movie negative is in this movie. I have watched the other kinds of movies that are making fun of movies and there are certain things that are memorable like they have songs and lines from the movie that are just hilarious and you cant help but repeat. These movies are just those things that you have to watch. So this is going to be an extremely short review but I just don't know what else to say about this movie except for the fact that the movie sucks really they can be funny and you just can't help but watch it just because of how bad they are.


So as for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 2/10 because there are a couple of good laughs.

Neighbors Review

Neighbors

So Neighbors stars Seth Rogen and Zac Efron and Rogen plays the father and husband who has to deal with the fraternity next door lead by Efron's character. Things get out of control though when the fraternity gets to rowdy and its war between frat and family man. Ok so my first thoughts is that this is just a fantastic comedy!! I absolutely loved this movie it was hilarious!!!

So lets get started with the negatives for this movie because there are so few of them. First I want to start with a negative that really probably shouldn't be called an official negative there are two actors in the movie who I just am not a fan of and those two are Dave Franco and Christopher Mintz-Plasse. I don't know what it is about these two but I think its just there voices they are just annoying and I don't always like them and they ruin the movie for me which really sucks. However in this movie they weren't overly annoying. Also Seth Rogen doesn't really act he is just his same usual self he plays the same guy and he never really changes but its not to the point where I'm annoyed with him.  Now to real negatives, I felt there was some shaky cam kind of it felt like the camera was being held on someone's shoulder and they just got so tired with holding it that they tried to adjust or maybe there were even parts where they were doing something funny and they were actually laughing and I don't it just didn't work for me. There is also one little thing that really is pretty minor there are some humor that is just not funny that was supposed to be funny but very few of those moments.

Now the rest positives and there are a lot. Now lets start with Efron! Holy crap did he do amazing in this movie. He started as a Disney star and I know no Disney star ever turns out but Efron just might be the one Disney star to be successful!. He did so well and I loved it so much. Now the humor in this movie was just hilarious, the movie was just so relatable we all know someone who we would just go to an all out war!!!  I think there was much laughter in the movie theater with everyone else and I just think that everyone can relate and everyone will love the humor in this movie.The chemistry between the cast is great and it really shows and it just seems like they had a great time filming this movie. Now the dialogue in this movie was fantastic as well it was just so real I felt like I was actually in the movie with them. I really feel that this could be the movie of the summer!!! I feel that pretty much all of the best comedies come out during the summer season and I think this might just be the summer movie. 22 Jump Street comes out soon but I still think that this one will be the one. Now there were actually a few messages in this movie that just gave the movie heart! They just put it in there and kind of hid it on you so they didn't just throw it in your face you kind of just realized as it went along and I really liked that. I also loved the direction of this movie and I really loved the ending of this movie as well I think it just wrapped everything up perfectly.

So all in all an amazing comedy that will be hard to beat as far as comedies go as for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 8/10!

The Amazing Spider-Man

The Amazing Spider-Man



So The Amazing Spider-Man is a reboot in 2012 for Spider-Man, and I have to say it was alright. Now I have already but up a review for the second in this rebooted series so has promised here is the first for this series. So I have to start with something that I forgot to add with the last review but it works with this movie as well and its the marketing for these movies. The trailers make it seem like the movie is going one way and then actually goes another way which just drives me nuts. Also for the new one the trailer and the rest of the marketing just give the movie away, there's just to much in there that I feel like I've already watched the movie before I actually have seen it. Another thing I have to say that is negative about the movie is the fact that its boring and in a couple of ways. First of all the origin story is the same as the last Spider-Man that we saw in the Rami Spider-Mans and it wasn't all that different so it did kind of get boring. If you don't know the origin story then you might it enjoy it more. Also another thing that makes it boring is just the fact that the movie takes forever to get to the good stuff like origin stories do I guess but it was kind of boring at times. Another negative to this movie is the fact that Peter gives his identity away to way to many people. He doesn't exactly do this on purpose but he just does give it away a lot! I also have a couple of things that just bother me about this Spider-Man. This Spider-Man first of all is super cocky and he is just TOO cocky, yes I want him to be cocky but not that cocky. Another thing that bothered me about this Spider-Man is the fact his suit is just weird, it like sparkles and I didn't like it. Dr. Connors in this movie doesn't have enough time in this movie either, they didn't use him as a villain or as lizard. This problem was also in the second movie as well. Another thing that the two movies share in common is the fact that the movies feel so choppy like they wanted to do all these things and then they tried to put it all in and then it just got so choppy.

Now to the positives, I like Andrew Garfield as Spider-Man he is just a great Spider-Man, he does a good job and I like his performance. I also love Emma Stone in this film she does great as Gwen. I also love the chemistry between all the actors is great. Now I also have to say I loved the relationship of this movie with Gwen and Peter unlike the second movie they give just the right amount of time to the relationship and I loved every second of it. Speaking of Gwen I loved how they decided to keep this movie closer to the comics, they have Gwen in there who was actually interested in Peter first. Also something I liked is that his webs are what he makes his webslingers which I do like and it is like in the comics. I also love that he looks like a high schooler where Toby just looked to old to be playing the age that he was playing. Now the action and the special effects are amazing in this movie for the most part they are done well.

So my final thoughts are that I thought this movie was going to suck but in the end, it was a decent movie and a good time, so as for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 6/10.

The Amazing Spider Man 2 Review

The Amazing Spider-Man 2

Well welcome back everybody today I review The Amazing Spider Man 2! So I realized that I haven't reviewed the first Amazing Spider-Man but I promise a review is on the way. So the first Amazing Spider-Man was a decent reboot, I didn't think it was as good as the MSpider-Man trilogy but a decent reboot. So this time around Peter is dealing with lots of villains including The Rhino, Electro, and The Goblin. Peter also struggles with his non Spider-Man life, finding out about his parents, Aunt May, and his on and off relationship with Gwen.

Ok so lets start with the positives in this movie. First of all the chemistry between the actors is just AMAZING. Peter and Gwen just are perfect and their chemistry is amazing! I think that is due in part to the fact that Garfield and Stone are dating in real life but its still shows well on the screen. Also the chemistry between Henry and Peter is also good, that is the little that we see of it. All the actors just did a phenomenal job in this movie, just perfect. I really think that Garfield owns the Spider-Man role and does just a great job with that. The effects in this movie are just OUTSTANDING! You see electro and you can like see through him and its just awesome! The  action and the effects were better than the first and it just really shows.

So now we get to the negatives and prepare there are a lot. Now lets start with the villains. I will admit I was worried about all these villains and I thought it would follow the path of Spider Man 3 and guess what it kind of did. All the actors did great in their roles well except for The Rhino who had this horrible Russian accent that I just could not understand! Rhino was also in the movie for maybe about 5 minutes and it was just a set up for The Sinister Six! So this character was just unneeded and annoying. We also have goblin and again a great actor and a great performance but from the time he put on the suit to the time that the big battle happened between him and Spider-Man it was like ten minutes that you see the goblin! It just all felt like a set up for The Sinister Six! Electro was the main villain and again he wasn't used much he's in two major fight scenes, one that was great in Times Square and the other that wasn't so great that lasted like 5 minutes before he was just taken out just like that. Also Electros character before he's Electro is just annoying and cheesy and stupid. The movie is also extremely choppy! The movie just felt like a bunch of scenes thrown together and it is just hard to watch at times. The movie wanted to be so many different things and had to many story lines it wanted to play in there was the whole Gwen Peter thing, there's college struggles, there's Aunt May, there's Henry, just all to much for this movie. This movie also was supposed to be a superhero movie but I felt that they made it more into a romance! The movie is almost two and a half hours long and I felt half of it went to Peter and Gwen's on and off relationship! Now these scenes were probably the best in the movie to be honest but I want to see a superhero movie not a chick flick! Now this is something that I never talk about but I have to talk about it here... the score in the movie is just AWFUL! They put in songs that sound like a character is like talking in his head or taking out loud but they aren't its the background music and its just weird and wrong! There are parts that do it well and its sad to say that Hans Zimmer did this score!

So all in all the movie is fun but still not a great movie! As for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 5/10.

The Fighter Review

The Fighter

The Fighter stars Mark Wahlberg and Christian Bale. So The Fighter is the true story of a boxer who is  trained and supported by his family, his family consists of a brother who is a drug and alcohol addict, a mother who is hard to explain but she does like to party and kind of ignores the stuff she doesn't want to see, and he's sisters who say what they want when they want. After his brother is put in jail Mickey has to decide weather or not to stick with his family or move on. So I have to say that I absolutely love this movie! The story is just amazing and everything is just done so well. First lets start with the acting, everyone does an amazing job in this movie, everyone gives Oscar worthy performances in my opinion. Wahlberg gives one of the best performances of his career, Bale actually won the Oscar for best supporting actor and holy cow did he deserve it. Bale out acted everyone in this movie, he just did such an amazing job! At the end of the movie there is a clip with the real brothers and other than the fact that they look different Bale WAS that character he did just such an amazing job. Melissa Leo also won a Oscar for Actress in a supporting Role and she definetly deserved that as well, she did just amazing in this role. Amy Adams was also in this movie and she just did an amazing job in this role, she also got nominated for the Oscar for best supporting actress, I do think Meslissa gave a slighter better performance but  Amy did do such an amazing job. This movie was also nominated for other Oscars including best picture, best director, and best original screenplay. Now this movie lost the Oscars for these from The Kings Speech. Now personally I didn't really like The Kings Speech, in fact I don't even think I ever finished it so I think that The Fighter should have won all of those Oscars. The movie is just a spectacular story and was done so well and I just felt that The Kings Speech was just boring and slow. Now the movie is a drama but there was some humor in there and that's mostly thanks to the sisters who say what they want when they want and its a great break from the drama because the drama can get heavy in this movie. I was personally engaged in this movie, I'm not a fan of boxing but still loved this movie, and I really didn't feel that the movie was about boxing really it was more about the journey of a man who had to decide to do what was best for him and not just do what is family wanted. I really couldn't think of any negatives for this film really the only thing that I can think of is some of the boxing in the movie seemed just a little to much like they were acted out, and I know they were but I still felt that they could have been done a little better.

So a great film, I must see in my opinion and as for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 9/10.

While You Were Sleeping Review

While You Were Sleeping

So While You Were Sleeping stars Sandra Bullock and is about a woman who saves a mans life but the man falls into a coma and while visiting him in the hospital the mans family shows up and she pretends that she is engaged to the man and fools everyone but the mans brother.

So this movie was actually very interesting. Sandra does a fantastic job as the main character, her acting is just suburb. Now this movie is a romance/drama/comedy and I loved every genre of the movie and how they put it all together. The chemistry between all the characters is great, I loved every single member of this family that is in the movie and I loved the love interests in this movie I really believed in these two characters love for each other. This movie was a comedy and I loved how they incorporated all the comedy into the movie it was just great. I loved the story of this film just the sound of it makes me laugh. I also loved the family in this film they are just wonderful and the way they accept Sandra's character and make her part of the family just makes the movie so nice and just makes you feel so good, such a feel  good movie.  This movie was just really charming would be the word that comes to my mind when I think of it.

Now I have to say that this movie was a little predictable but not so bad that I didn't enjoy this movie I enjoyed this movie quite a bit, but it was slightly predictable. You know I think that this is the only flaw to this movie I really did just enjoy this movie. I've looked at other peoples reviews and it doesn't seem like anyone really hated this movie.

So a great movie to watch with that special someone, I absolutely loved it and as for a ratting I'm going to give this film a 8/10

Spanglish Review

Spanglish



So Spanglish is a drama/romance about a Mexican woman who decides to give her daughter a better life by bringing her to America where she finds a family to work for. The family consists of a famous chief, the chiefs wife who is insecure, and a young daughter. Eventually the chief falls for the Maid and things get out of hand.










So lets start with the positives of this movie. First off the acting in this movie is great, for those who say that Adam Sandler cant act well they are wrong he does just phenomical in this moive. I also liked the idea of this love story developing with a famous chief and a maid. Its something different and I enjoyed that part of it. Now the movie has some humor and some of it was decent humor that made the movie enjoybale. Now I liked how realistic this movie was the characters felt very real and the situations felt very real as well. I also have to say a lot of the dialogue in the movie felt so real and it was very engaging at times.









Now for the negatives of this movie. The movie feels very slow and boring at times. There were quite a few times where to I just wanted the movie speed up and just get done already. I also felt that the movie had a little to much drama, I realize the movie is a drama but I just felt like the movie had to many of these little plot points with more drama and it just got annoying. I also think there was some humor that did feel forced and the movie was trying to stop being the drama that it was and be a comedy more instead. Also the mother played by Tea Leoni is just so evil that you absolutely hate her to the point where you just cant watch the movie, she's supposed to be evil but it just goes to far.


So all in all this movie is all right, a lot of other people like this movie but for me it was just not that great it was just all to much for me. So as for a ratting I give Spanglish a 5/10.

Jackass the movie review

Jackass the movie

Well hello everybody and welcome back today we review Jackass the movie. Now Jackass was first a show I believe and if you haven't seen the show or the movies this is the basic plot of these things, there's a bunch of guys who do stupid stuff to try to get some laughs out of you. This is all real things all things that real guys actually do. That's about it, so this should be a short review seeing as far as movie ratings so there's not much to talk about. Okay so my first thoughts on this movie is that its not for everyone. These guys do some pretty messed up stuff that you just wonder how anyone ever thought about doing these things. This movie is funny at times yes, I think its also very gross at times that you need to turn away from the screen at times and if you can't handle gross things then you probably shouldn't watch. This movie is hard to review seeing as there isn't any acting involved really, there really isn't a story its just a bunch of stupid pranks and stunts that these people are hoping will make you laugh. I have to say that some of these stunts get to the point where they are so stupid and just so dumb that I do lose respect for the people and the film though. It just gets kind of pathetic and just stupid and that takes me out of the film a little bit. I've looked at other reviews of this movie and I noticed that people either like it or they hate it and I can see why its just not for everyone there's a lot of gross stuff and I feel like you need to be a little immature to like this kind of film. I'm sort of in the middle with the film but I lean more towards the negative side I just see what these guys are doing and a lot of them are just plain stupid and I just lose respect for these people its just too stupid what they are doing and it just disgusts you that you really can't even watch.

So a shorter review I know but there really isn't much to talk about. As for a ratting I'm going to give this movie a 4/10.

How I Met Your Mother Series Finale Spoilers Review

How I Met Your Mother Series Finale spoilers

Well hello everybody I hope all is well. So today we talk about the series finale of what USED to be one of my favorite shows. Now before we get to the finale lets talk about the final season as a whole. Now here is your warning there is going to be SPOILERS in this review let me say that again huge heavy SPOILERS!!!! So if you do not want anything to be spoiled leave this review until you watch the show first. Now the eighth season ended with everyone leaving to get to Robin and Barney's weeding. We knew that Lily and Marshall were planning on leaving for Italy, but Marshall also found out he was going to become a judge and they might not go. We know that Ted is planning on leaving for Chicago, and we also know that Barney and Robin are excited for their weeding. Now I have to say that watching the eighth season and knowing that they were planning to do the entire last season into three days did worry me a little bit, and I think after watching the final season I was right to be worried. The season was just choppy and just to many things happened in the course of a days time. Even Ted said in one of the final episodes that its just unbelievable how many things have happened in one day. I also felt that there were to many fluff episodes that just did nothing, they made us laugh a little bit but when it comes to the last season there is just no reason to have those fluff episodes if your going to have them have them in other season in my opinion. The episodes just did nothing to move the plot forward and they could have replaced that episode with something more important. So I guess that's my thoughts on the last season to many fluff episodes and just to many things happening, now lets talk about the final episode shall we?

So lets talk about some good things now before we get on with the bad because there are a lot of them. First off this episode got off to a FANTASTIC start. I loved how we saw Ted see the mother I loved the whole Barney going Ted...Ted...Ted it was just hilarious. I also loved the goodbyes that we got from the characters when they were saying goodbye to Ted. Robin and Ted's major thing was perfect, The high five between Ted and Barney was hilarious and just like them, Marshalls goodbye was great and I even loved the E.T goodbye with Lilly it was all just hilarious and sweet. I also have to talk about the whole saying goodbye to the apartment thing, I'm glad they had a goodbye to the apartment. There had been episodes in the past where we thought we would be saying goodbye to the apartment and we knew the time would eventually come that we would say goodbye to it and I loved the fact that they had a party to celebrate the apartment and all the wonderful memories we've had in it. I also though Lilly and Marshall had a great reason for leaving the apartment. Now something that I didn't like about the eighth season is the fact that Marshall and Lilly were leaving for Italy. I wanted Marshall to become a judge it just suited him in my opinion and he would be a great judge, so I was quite happy to find out that he did eventually become a judge and also a senator as well. I feel that Marshall out of all the characters on How I Met Your Mother was the most purest and the best person, Marshall is someone we should all try to be, so I just really felt he deserved to have what he wanted. Now the acting in this last episode was just phenomenal!!  I was just floored by Neil Patrick's Harris scene where he first held his child it was just perfect and just a beautiful scene. I also loved how they had a few of those references to other seasons like the "caca mouse" it just gave me a great memory from previous episodes that I really loved and enjoyed. One final thing  I have to say about the final episode that I liked is the mother, she was just perfect for Ted and just fit into the group nicely. I loved the met it was just so cute and it was just the perfect way for them to met. I loved the name Traci and I loved that she had the same initials. The two of them had just fantastic chemistry and she was just a fantastic character.  Not going to lie I fell in love with her she was just so sweet and so funny and I just loved her.

Now lets get into the bad and I have to warn you there are a lot of them. First of all this show was a sitcom right? Except for the first ten minutes or so the entire episode was depressing!! It was more of a soap opera than a sitcom, I felt emotionally drained after watching the episode and just wanted a hug it was just so depressing. Now lets talk about what made the episode so depressing, first we start out with Barney and Robin getting divorced. I just don't understand how they could have done this the entire last season focused around their weeding and how much they were in love and then they just quit because of some traveling?  I just didn't like that how can they give up over something so little. Something else that was just super depressing was the fact that they stopped being friends, they claimed to still be friends but they weren't, part of the reason why I loved the show and the characters was the fact that even after everything that these guys have been through their friendship still lasted. I loved the idea that these guys would just always be friends and would always be together. I don't have a lot of friends and I don't trust people and that's why I loved the characters they were a little bit of hope for me that I could find friends and have the same close and amazing friends forever. I also thought that I heard the future Ted saying that every year they go to see Robots Vs Wrestlers and every year they get together for holidays and in the episode Robin wasn't at Robots Vs Wrestlers so what happened to that?  I've lost hope now after seeing this, this makes me want to never ever make friends again! Now the final super depressing part was the mother thing. How the heck can you make us fall in love with a character and have us wanting to met her for eight years and then just kill her off? I just don't get why they thought that would be a satisfying ending? Also another thing to go along with that, what happened? Did she have cancer? We know she was sick but what actually happened? It just felt insulting to the character. I was sad because I loved her but should I have felt even more sad? Was it a painful death was it quick was it slow? It was just stupid!!! I also didn't like the fact that they didn't get married right away, I just felt like that it wasn't something Ted would do and it just didn't fit the characters. Also I didn't like that Ted was still in love with Robin the whole time, to me it was even more of an insult to the character I felt like Traci was kind of like a prostitute she was being used! Ted used her for kids and let me grow up a bit with her until the kids were at an old enough age that Robin wouldn't mind them and then Ted went to Robin. It was just stupid and pathetic in my opinion. Now also like the rest of the season this episode went back and forth and just to much happened and it just got annoying and dumb. I also have to say that the whole Robin falling for Ted thing it just didn't make sense to me. Robin has admitted many times that she didn't want Ted and I just feel like that she just fell for him a little to easily and it just didn't work for me. Now lets talk about Barney because he was a key player in this last episode, now he is my favorite character but I hated him in this episode. The last few seasons were spent showing how he has changed and stuff and then all of a sudden he was just unchanged. What? This was just confusing to me! It also ruined the last few seasons to me because they really were pointless!! Barney not changing just doesn't work and it was dumb and lame. He also pretty much changed to his old self after having this baby. Now don't get me wrong I loved that scene, such an emotional and well acted scene but what the heck a child just changes Barney all of a sudden?  What? Also with that who was the mother of that child? How come we never met her? It also sounded like he was taking care of the baby more than the mother was? Did he marry her? Did he just decide to raise the child? There were just to many unanswered questions and it was just stupid!! Now the final thing I want to talk about is the final speech from Ted and the kids, first of all  I hated the kids speech!!! It just seemed stupid and unnatural and also with the final words from Ted where the heck is Bob Saget? We are just going to hear his voice for nine seasons and then all of a sudden he sounds like young Ted? What? It was just so stupid and just didn't match up with the rest of the show. 

So all in all this was just a HUGE disappointment!! The show has been ruined for me!!I've tried watching it again and I just can't the show had a terrible ending and the show is just ruined!!!

So the ratting yeah there were good things I liked but the ending just gets a 0/10. The good didn't take over the bad.
