The Conjuring

So The Conjuring is a horror story that is based on true events about a family who moves into a house and find mysterious things happening while they are in their house at night.

Well I have to say this movie was stinking scary. It wasn't exactly gory, I think there was really one scene where it was gory. The movie was just suspenseful!!! It was also scary though, I watched this at the drive in and people who were walking outside freaked me out and I jumped a little. I'm not usually one that is scared of horror movies I love them. And I have to say that this is my favorite horror movie of all time now.

This movie had some pretty decent acting there were a couple of children actors that were a little annoying with their acting. I didn't think that there was anybody super amazing worth mentioning but for a horror movie the acting was decent. I also want to talk about the visual effects most of them were pretty amazing, but then there were some where it just looked terrible.

The plot of this movie was pretty intriguing and I was sitting on the edge of my seat the whole time!!! This movie just had me wanting more. I loved how they put everything together and the movie had a great ending unlike most horror movies.

I've read other people reviews and a lot of people were saying that there is a lot of horror movie cliches. My opinion of this is that it's a HORROR movie it's going to have those cliches but I don't feel like it was nothing but clichés I feel that it did it's self justice. I think this is James Wanns best directing yet and his beys movie yet. People felt like it was the same as his other movies I disagree it was unique and done well.

So all in all I loved this movie I will probably buy it when it comes out and it will be one I watch over and over. As for a rating I decided to give The Conjuring a 7/10.
