What is a superhero?

So today's topic is superheroes and more specifically what is a superhero? Someone asked me that the other day. Well to me a superhero is someone who is still human who does super things. So aliens, gods,  yeah they aren't superheroes!!! At work one night a co worker and I were talking about The Avengers. She asked me if I thought all of the Avengers were superheroes to which I answered with no. Iron Man is a superhero, he uses his own technology to save the world. Thor not a superhero he is a god! His powers are the work of gods not human made. Captain America is one I struggle with but in the end he is a superhero to me, his powers were given to him by the famous Howard Stark there fore I feel he is a superhero. Hulk is another tough one but again he is human that turns into the hulk because of the virus or whatever it is. Then there is Hawk eye and Black Widow they are superheroes they are human assassins most definitely superheroes.
